Prodder Podcast Client

About

Prodder is a command-line based Podcast client (or aggregator, receiver, doohickey) written in Perl that runs on just about any *n*x system. It implements a few very useful features that are lacking in many of the existing tools, while remaining simple and light-weight.

• Interactive and autonomous (cronjob) modes.
• Selective downloading (great for dialup'ers and low-volume users).
• Extended item information (date, enclosure url/size, description).
• User-defined download directory structure (based on title, category, date).
• Playlist generation.

My favourites are LugRadio, IT Conversations and Linux Australia Update. These feeds are included in the `podcasts.sample' file in the Prodder distribution.

Is there a GUI?
User coder69 has put together a Usermin interface to configure Prodder. You can check it out here.
